Ce territoire est paradoxalement celui où je me sens “chez moi”, d’où je me sens appartenir, bien qu’ayant grandi à plus de cinq cent kilomètres.C’est face à ce sentiment de déracinement , mais aussi de hantise d’une disparition à venir, que j’interroge aujourd’hui le paysage connu de mon enfance avec un regard nouveau. Espace du sensuel, de la libération, du corps désœuvré, elle s’affirme comme image de réussite. Cependant, ces bassins de 50 000 à 80 000 litres d’eau se retrouvent aujourd’hui au cœur des débats concernant les ressources en eau. Selon la FPP (2022), la France est le deuxième pays le plus équipé en piscine du monde (1 bassin/21 hab.), et depuis 2021, plusieurs départements français en ont interdit la construction. Vis-à-vis de l’urgence climatique, la piscine serait vouée à disparaître, mais, paradoxalement, face à l’angoisse du réchauffement des températures, le marché des piscines est en plein essor (230 000 constructions prévues en 2024 en France), créant ainsi par ce biais une fracture sociale et climatique.
